The City of Denison is working on some repairs to the streets and the sidewalks to the south and east of our playground. In the course of their work, it was determined that our retaining wall needs to be replaced for the proper care of our facilites and the safety of our students. 

The Finance Council met and after discussion came up with a plan for the project. It is estimated this project will cost $100,000, and an excited donor has already given a gift of $20,000 toward this effort. Here are the main points of the project.

• Replace the retaining wall. This is a necessity.
• Add some landscaping-plants, flowers, etc., to beautify the space and make / add to the welcoming environment of our campus
• Add a permanent sign to the southeast corner, helping guests know they have arrived at St. Rose
• Adding a statue of St. Rose by the new sign to commemorate our 150th anniversary as a parish, and to place it on the land where our church previously stood.  Research is being done on the costs to see if this statue is a feasible project.
