National Catholic speaker, youth minister, parish mission leader, author and Des Moines Catholic radio host, Jon Leonetti will be the keynote speaker for the April 6 Men’s Conference in Le Mars.
The “Men of the Cross” conference is co-sponsored by the Diocese of Sioux City and the Le Mars All Saints Parish Men’s Ministry group. After collaborating with the men’s group, Karmen Bower, diocesan director of faith formation, said they selected Des Moines-based Leonetti as conference speaker.
“He is from Central Iowa – is always great and has a similar background as the men who are attending,” Bower said. “He is high-energy and charismatic – very inspiring and motivating. He’s passionately Catholic and living his faith.”
Leonetti shared that he will be talking to the conference participants about humans being created in God’s image and likeness, as described in the book of Genesis. He pointed out that humans are the “highest form of God’s creation.”
